Azalea Garden Tour Grants

For over 50 years, the Azalea Garden Tour, sponsored by Cape Fear Garden Club, has proudly returned thousands of dollars to New Hanover County. Tour profits benefit local community organizations through beautification and horticulture grants. In addition, funds support scholarships at UNCW and Cape Fear Community College and finance conservation efforts at Battery Island, a National Audubon Society sanctuary and the largest nesting site in North America for ibis, egrets and herons. Other special projects supported by the tour include garden therapy, youth gardener projects, and horticultural programs.
